SEPTEMBER 20, 2022
This year’s football Homecoming theme has been announced: Home Sweet Homecoming is BHS’s fall Homecoming concept. Candidates and representatives were announced last friday.
We will have our Homecoming pep assembly at the end of the school day on September 30th. The Senior class has won two straight fall homecoming assemblies, and they are eager to continue their dominance and complete the three peat. The football team will play against Princeton later that night, with homecoming occurring at halftime. Taste of Pride will begin before the game, lasting all the way up to kickoff.
This year’s underclassmen representatives are: Logan Fodge and Taylor Johnson (Freshmen), Sophia Borgman and Mauro Casanova Espinosa (Sophomores), Addy Blackford and Mason Bray (Juniors). Mauro had this to say about the homecoming experience so far, “I’m honored to be nominated for homecoming. I never experienced a ‘Homecoming’ in Spain, so finding out I get to represent my class is a true honor.”
Our fall Senior Queen candidates are Jaiden Wilson Fulks, Sophia Chavez, Chloe Apple, Megan Hurt, and Becca Campbell . The fall King candidates are Clark Monks, Clay Conner, Cooper Aigner, Hudson Nelson, and Mason Gladish. Jaiden is excited for homecoming. She said, “I feel so blessed to be nominated for homecoming queen. Standing beside the people I love will make this night a huge moment.”
King candidate Cooper Aigner added, “It feels pretty good that my peers decided to vote for me. I’m most excited about our homecoming assembly, dressing up, and being out there in general.”
This years’ homecoming is bound to be great. Between the candidates, representatives, and organizers, creativity is through the roof.
