The NFL Season at the Halfway Mark

The NFL regular season is halfway over, and there are a lot of surprising things that have happened. The NFL this year is very different because there are teams that are very good and teams that are very bad, but most teams are just in the middle.

The AFC four divisions are very competitive and anything can happen. The AFC East consists of the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, and New England Patriots. The Buffalo Bills lead the league and division and are the favorites to hold the Lombardi trophy; they are a very great team all around and have some big wins so far but don’t have a defined running game.

The Dolphins have been very competitive and haven’t lost a single game when their quarterback Tua Tangoviloa plays a full game. There was great concern about him this year but having new stud wide receiver Tyreek Hill on the team is working out pretty well having a 6-3 record. The New York Jets have a surprise 6-3 record, but besides bad quarterback play they have been very great. The Patriots are in last and although they have a winning record at 5-4 they have been a huge let down.

Next the AFC North is mainly a two team race for the division because the Steelers and Browns have been huge let downs. But the Ravens have been a team that can beat anybody but lack wide receivers and the Bengals have been underperformers the whole year.

The AFC South is next and besides the Titans none of the other teams are any good because they are just bad coaches or don’t have the pieces to win. The AFC West is the last division in the AFC and it has two teams that were expected to be good in the Chargers and Chiefs and two big time underperforming teams in Broncos and Raiders who some people had making the Playoffs.

The NFC is very different because there are only about 4 really good teams, and every other team is just bad or middle of the pack.

The NFC East is the best division, surprisingly having the one loss Eagles and the Cowboys and Giants both being 6-2. Next the NFC North is just a blowout because the Vikings are running away with the division, while the Packers are disappointing and the Bears are improving well and showing promise for the future through Justin Fields.

Then the NFC South is a huge let down with none of the teams have a winning record, not even the Tom Brady led Bucs. Finally the NFC South is the most surprising because the Seahawks, who were expected to be one of worst teams in football, are leading the division and the other teams are underachieving.

In conclusion, this season will be very exciting and very interesting.  It gives people reason to watch football because any team can win the Super Bowl and obtain the Lombardi Trophy.
