The new show Wednesday is an american coming-of-age supernatural comedy horror streaming television series based on the character Wednesday Addams.
Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega, is a young girl with many different emotional problems. She gets expelled from school after dumping living piranhas into the school’s pool. She did not like how the others kept bullying her brother, so she thought the best solution was to take revenge. Consequently, her parents, Gomez and Morticia Addams, enroll her at their high school. Nevermore Academy, a private school for many monstrous outcasts, is in the town of Jericho, Vermont.
Wednesday’s cold, emotionless personality and her defiant nature make it difficult for her to connect with her schoolmates. This soon makes her not listen to the principal and go to solve a murder mystery on her own. She soon gains the same ability her mother possessed of being a psychic. This allows her to connect with many people and talk with a lot of the town folk.
Throughout the series we get to tag along on Wednesday’s adventure and witness an incredible young girl grow up. We watch her make connections with people and gain many friends. She learns to communicate and help solve different problems with her newly discovered talent. As the series progresses we wonder if she finds the killer solves the murders with the help of her new allies.
